Zune 2 coming soon
The new Zune 2 is being pumped this week in a run up to its launch in November. It seems there’s not much change hardware wise, except for more storage space. We’ll now get an 80GB beastie – codenamed the Zune 80 (wouldn’t have thought of that myself) – which is the hard drive version, and 2 flash versions with 4GB and 8GB storage.
We’ll get a new choice of colors for the flash versions – pink, red, green and black. The Zune 80 will come in any color you wish so long as it’s black.
The touch sensitive “Zune pad” promises to be a neat addition, with directional arrows and not overly sensitive.
The biggie for me will be the wireless sync – plug it in for charging or dock it and it will automatically sync with your PC – that’s a very nice feature for me. You’ll still have the option for manual sync, but auto just makes it so much easier.
So far, the feedback is looking good for the new mods, but the real “proof of the pudding” will come when we can finally get our hands on them and see for real.
