The Godfather video game - an offer you cant refuse
The Corleone family invites you into their world through publisher Electronic Arts with the fall release of “The Godfather.”
If you love the free-for-all spirit of Grand Theft Auto and the intense story lines of the “Matrix” or “GUN” you will find the combo of the two abundantly appealing with this title.
As an up-and-comer trying to make a name for yourself within the family-of “The Don,” you run, drive, shoot and strangle your way into the favorable eyes of the family.
All the while improving your reputation through side missions and carting big shot Archie around town. You may lose your head during this play with hours of Tommy gun action.
But don’t expect to move up the chain of command fast One of the most interesting play scenarios in the game is the extorting of local shop owners to build your wealth and respect.
You can force the shop owner to his knees to the point of breaking through brute force. How? It’s controlled through a well-designed pressure meter, letting you know how close to death the character is and the point at which he agrees to pay you the blood money.
But be warned: The make-believe violence in this game is addicting and may cause you to miss a virtual family dinner of spaghetti and cheap wine.
This will lead to reduced respect by your clan and a rather disgruntled significant other.
And don’t forget to stay away from car trunks and cement factories. I also recommend you hire surveillance for your horse and personal belongings.
